The Shins playing SNL on March 10th
Lately the bands on SNL have been, um, shitty to say the least. Thankfully that will hopefully change when the Shins (James Mercer + his backing band = The Shins) are set to perform on Saturday Night Live on March 10th. This will be the band’s second performance on the TV series.

The Specials playing Closing Ceremonies at London...
Well the Summer Olympics just got ten times more interesting! The Specials will close out the Olympics with Blur and New Order in Hyde Park at the closing ceremonies. I really hope we get to them perform! I’m glad with the choices of the bands, but I’m sure others will argue over who are the “best” of the British bands.
